That’s a great question...unfortunately, there is no easy answer.
Hotels virtually everywhere in North America are struggling find enough qualified employees for most front line positions. The problem is not our demand for foreign workers, but rather the difficulty of getting work visa’s in a timely and cost effective mannar.
In Canada there is a push to try to make the process easier for employers to hire (temporary) foreign workers. Government has responded by improving our Temporary Foreign Worker Program by increasing the allowable time spent working in Canada from 12 to 24 months.
