All of us at Vacant Ready care about the integrity of the information we deliver. We read every story that is submitted and try to publish only authentic hotel intelligence.
Our goal is to build an engaged community of hotel industry professionals and partners. We want to facilitate discussion about real challenges and successes that we experience in the hotel industry. We bring you the real deal, from working hoteliers.
Vacant Ready is a blend of original content, viewer tips and member submissions from the hotel industry in Canada and beyond. We publish our content under a Creative Commons license so that others can build and expand on our ideas.
We care about our reputation. That means that we will maintain the following standards and guidelines throughout our website
Disclosure of Business Relationships
Vacant Ready will disclose business relationships in editorial content whenever relevant. As part of our ongoing development, Vacant Ready will seek business relationships with a growing number of companies in the hospitality industry. With this in mind, our editors and contributors will always disclose business relationships in editorial content whenever relevant, in particular if Vacant Ready has received a service from these organizations.
Advertisements are Marked Clearly
Vacant Ready’s main business model is an advertising-driven strategy. We generate revenue by selling advertisements in the form of banners, sponsored blog posts, custom advertising features and co-branded services. Wherever appropriate, we clearly label advertising, sponsorships or sponsored links to avoid confusion. On some occasions we will not label advertisements if it is clearly obvious that the item is an ad.
Corrections
On any occasion that we discover that we made an error in our content, we will correct it immediately. We fact check all reports of erroneous content to ensure its authenticity.
Treatment of our teams of hotel industry “Tipsters”
Vacant Ready encourages hotel employees and viewers to submit stories for publication. We ask that all hotel insiders only submit information that they know to be accurate to the best of their ability.
Please introduce yourself and include your name in your email or form submissions. If you would rather submit a tip anonymously, please state so in your email. We will always honor your request for privacy.
We highly value the information, stories and articles we receive from our viewers and we want to publish them. However, our viewers also need to know the source or context of an item.

Vacant Ready editors and contributors are under no obligation to link to any particular website.
Vacant Ready does regularily link to websites that our editors and contributors believe will benefit the community. However, use of a link does not constitute in any way, an endorsement of a company, product or opinion.
