Fairmont Hotels and Adidas Join the Key Club
Chris · July 12, 2007
We’re fans of hotel and lifestyle branding partnerships. It’s not the partnerships themselves that get us all excited, however. Rather it’s the chance to photograph “traditional” hotel elements like guest room keys being re-tooled with funky colours and advertising slogans.
Even old-school hospitality purveyors like Canadian Fairmont Hotels can’t seem to resist co-branding with athletic wear. These lifestyle partnerships are starting to get tired in my mind, but I’m an Adidas guy so I let it slide. Clearly I’m part of the problem, not the solution.
Check out these guestroom keys from the Fairmont Orchid on the Big Island, Hawaii. The traditional silver colour was for my room, number 2559. The gaudy green thing is for a room on Fairmont’s President’s Club executive floor.
I said it before, but this partnership always makes me think of Run-DMC
